TempSure Envi: Revolutionary Dry Eye Treatment

What is TempSure Envi?

TempSure Envi is a radiofrequency (RF) treatment that safely and effectively treats dry eye disease. Meibomian Gland Disease (MGD) is the leading cause of dry eye and ocular discomfort, and it is now treatable with this radiofrequency (RF) technology.  If you are suffering from Dry Eye Syndrome, TempSure Envi helps by heating and cleaning out the clogged oil glands that line your eyelids.  This allows for a healthier flow and quality of the oil, which is vital for maintaining a smooth and effective tear film.

TempSure Envi works by using radiofrequency technology to heat, with precise temperature and time control, the deep layers of the skin.  By doing this, a patient’s oil glands are able to be expressed, helping to improve tear flow.  It also has a side effect of regenerating collagen, which reduces the appearance of bags and wrinkles in the treatment area. These new collagen fibers are tighter and denser, leaving a smoother, healthier-looking appearance.  TempSure Envi is safe for all skin types and levels of sun exposure, and treatments can be performed all year round.

Does it hurt?

TempSure Envi has been carefully designed with comfort in mind to provide you with a comfortable and effective treatment every time.  99% of patients described the treatment as comfortable. During your treatment, you will experience a gentle warming sensation around the target area(s).
Following the treatment, slight redness of the treatment area is normal and will subsite quicky. Immediately following your treatment, you will be able to return to your daily activities.

Am I a candidate?

TempSure Envi works on all skin types, and everyone is a candidate. Treatments are primarily recommended to patients who have dry eyes, experience skin laxity (looseness) around the eyes, and baggy eyes.

How long are treatments?

Patients will be in the office approximately 30 minutes from start to finish.  Treatment times vary and can take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes depending on the area being treated. There is absolutely no downtime, allowing you to return to your normal activities immediately.

How many treatments are needed?

A series of treatments is always recommended, but every patient is different. The optimum number of treatments can vary, so patients work with our doctors to develop a plan that is right for them.
